This article will help students in carrying out effective interviews. Interviews are important because they make the researcher get in-depth knowledge that might not be availed by a questionnaire. The interviewer can pursue in-depth information around a topic. Interviews may be useful as follow-up to certain respondents to questionnaires, e.g., to further investigate their responses. Usually, open-ended questions are asked during interviews. Before you start to design your interview questions and process, clearly understand what problem or need is to be addressed using the information to be gathered by the interviews. The implementation of Continuous Assessment Learning Areas  (CALA) is underway across the country as learners and teachers try to beat the first component submission deadlines  30 September 2021 for the form 4s and  6s, while the deadline for the grade 7s is 24 September 2021. Some students, teachers and parents might have no clue what CALA is all about, see the article  here . In this article, I  will focus on samples of tasks or CALA  assignments so that teachers, parents, students and guardians can have an idea of what the CALA tasks are all about. These examples were prepared by teachers from different schools( credit to them). It is important to note that a teacher can prepare his/her own CALA tasks from any part of the syllabus as long they meet the required standard (see below).
